Hello,

August took me to Kuopio, Finland for two days of on-site PRINCE2 Agile training, put me on a live PeopleCert panel talking AI governance in the new ITIL, and closed with the news that I'd finished the first half of 2026 as PeopleCert's third-ranked Ambassador worldwide.

As always, this is a transparent look at what's been keeping me busy and what's ahead. If any of it resonates with challenges in your organisation, I'd love to hear from you.

Two days on-site in Finland

After a packed run of virtual delivery in previous months, August's headline engagement took me on the road.

It's always good to see a repeat relationship turn into on-site work — the Kuopio trip came off the back of earlier PRINCE2 Agile delivery in the region. If your team prefers accredited training delivered in person rather than over a screen, I have more room for on-site work than most trainers do.

A quieter month for delivery, a busy one for pipeline

• SET Europa — met founder Xavier Perez, who followed up with a capability presentation; exploring where our services overlap.
• Konieczny Consulting — a new connection from a LinkedIn conversation, discussing possible referral work.
• Cybility Consulting — reconnected with Michala Liavaag after a LinkedIn message that took me a little too long to catch up on.
• itsmf Czech Republic — submitted a proposal for the C4P "Blending IT and Business" conference, January 2027.
• Resolved a PeopleCert compliance matter where an unaffiliated training provider had used my name and credentials without authorisation. Cooperated fully with PeopleCert's investigation and it's now closed.

Two webinars, a published article series, and a 1954 management book

August's public speaking calendar had two stops. On 13 August I was guest speaker for Exploring ITIL® (Version 5): Session 1 — Foundation, a free webinar for the GCC and MENA region hosted by Eng. Amjed Altayyan and theEZmaster. On 24 August I joined Simone Jo Moore, Chris Ward, and Lisa Schwartz on a PeopleCert ITIL Community panel, Guarding the Machine: Practical AI Governance in ITIL (Version 5), walking through the new ITIL AI Capability Model and the real risks — bias, PII leakage, and explainability — that come with it.

I also published a two-part PeopleCert article on the 6C Model in ITIL (Version 5) and what it means for Service Request Management: Creation, Curation, Clarification, Cognition, Communication, and Coordination — and why AI touching any one of them still needs the same governance discipline as any other production component.

On LinkedIn I ran a shorter series drawing on Peter Drucker's stonecutter parable and a battered 1954 management book I took on holiday, connecting classic thinking to PRINCE2 7's principles and to why so many ERP implementations and enterprise software projects still go wrong.

I also submitted a talk proposal, ITIL, AI and the Service Request Manager, for the ITIL Community Summit.
